Rising Roots of Talent

India’s First Mallakhamb Champions on a National Stage

From Conflict Zone to National Stage

Founded in 2016 by a Defence Forces hero who once faced Naxalite conflict head-on, Abujhmad Mallakhamb and Sports Academy began as a single camp in Bastar. What started with a handful of children has now grown into a structured training space for over 50 tribal students, aged 7 to 10, who are taught Mallakhambh along with life skills, education, and discipline.

It’s more than an academy — it’s a place where children discover strength, purpose, and pride. What was once a silent village now echoes with applause across India.

A Dream Born in Duty

One Soldier, Many Futures

Founded by a Defence Forces hero who once stood face-to-face with Naxalite conflict, Abujhmad Mallakhamb and Sports Academy began in 2016 as a quiet revolution in the heart of Bastar. What started as a single training camp has now become a symbol of transformation, discipline, and hope for tribal children. Today, the academy trains over 50 children—mostly between the ages of 7 to 10—introducing them to the ancient Indian art of Mallakhamb, while also guiding their educational, emotional, and physical development. More than an academy, it’s a sanctuary where India’s forgotten corners are nurturing tomorrow’s champions.

home-3-star1

In 2023, a quiet academy nestled deep in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, stepped into the national spotlight and made history. Abujhmad Mallakhamb and Sports Academy became the first-ever tribal Mallakhamb team to compete on a reality show — and win it.

With over 15 crore public votes, they didn’t just lift a trophy, they lifted an entire community’s spirit. For children who once practiced on dusty grounds and makeshift poles, the India’s Got Talent stage became a symbol of how far dreams can stretch when discipline meets belief.

Can that celebration also create a chance for someone in need?

Instead of spending all on temporary applause, take the initiative to invite real talent — children who have overcome struggle, trained in silence, and performed their hearts out to win over 15 crore Indians on a national stage.
